About Us

D plus was founded on 1 May 1990 as one of the first private design and engineering companies. Starting with two employees, the company has grown to employ a staff of eighty designers and engineering professionals and also uses the services of third parties and subcontractors.

Regional offices were opened in Pilsen and Olomouc in 1994 and 2001 respectively. D plus has changed its legal status over time, from sole proprietorship to a limited liability company and ultimately to the current joint-stock company established in 2003.

Since 1997, the company has been headquartered in Karlín, central Prague, where it extensively renovated its own building to create a state-of-the-art design office with full technical facilities.

Since its inception, D plus has completed over 5,000 projects, including award-winning ones.

D plus is committed to superior work quality and customer satisfaction, i.e. the best promotion of its activities and a way to win more contracts.

As such, the company strictly enforces its quality, environmental, OHS and information security policies and has undergone relevant certification.

D plus takes care of its customers throughout all contract phases and ensures the customer is kept informed from the very beginning of the full range of services, lead times, superior service quality and economic benefits.

Quotations are prepared to the highest standards to deliver a convincing technical solution and value for money. Following the preparation of project documentation, customers are offered administrative and supervision services.

In everything we do, we pay the utmost attention to occupational health and safety and have two OHS coordinators among our staff.

Environmental Policy

The primary task of an environmental policy is to create general awareness that all activities and their outcomes may have an environmental impact and, as such, must be managed in a professional and responsible manner in order to preserve the environment for future generations.

The company’s executives understand that the results of designing and engineering activities may lead to negative environmental impacts, as may the operation, management and maintenance of the company’s premises. In order to alleviate any negative impacts, the management has adopted an environmental policy in which it undertakes to:

  • Continuously improve the company’s environmental performance while sustaining and expanding the business.

  • Give all employees an opportunity for professional education, especially in new knowledge and technologies designed to minimise the environmental footprint.

  • Expand the employee ongoing education system with the necessary knowledge in environmental protection and maintain and improve the in-house information and knowledge sharing system.

  • Motivate employees at all management levels, inform them of how their work impacts the environment and cooperate with relevant state authorities and self-governing bodies in locations where the company operates in order to fully observe state and regional environmental policies.

  • Give all stakeholders access to environmental information and encourage employees, suppliers, customers and public authorities to share information together.

  • Act in accordance with current environmental legislation and regulations.

  • Adopt economical and preventive measures to reduce energy consumption and waste production.

  • Maintain and use the company’s premises and fleet in a way that minimises the environmental footprint.

  • Avoid irreversible environmental damage by continuously enhancing the performance of environmental programmes in accordance with the latest technical knowledge and transfer environmental experience to colleagues, suppliers, customers and all cooperating organisations.
